The agency is governed by a board of directors including member school system directors, school board members, and county commissioners.
Little TN Valley promotes collaboration among member school systems to develop needed educational services in the region.
The cooperative provides a variety of services to member and non-member school systems in East Tennessee and throughout the state.
Role:
The Behavior Analyst BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) will work directly in a pre-school classroom to support special education staff, general education teachers and administrators in the provision of behavioral supports and services designed to assist students with autism spectrum disorders and/or behavior challenges.
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and implements with appropriate district approvals, management and/or behavior interventions when students require services per their IEP.
Participates in behavior teams providing support and management for the implementation of behavior plans.
Maintains appropriate records, assist, and provide guidance for teachers and other staff in the implementation of behavioral interventions.
Provides coaching and professional development to staff on behavior interventions and supports.
Participates in planning and placement team meetings on a as needed basis.
Brainstorm with regular classroom teachers, along with special education teachers/pupil services staffing regarding students with behavioral challenges.
Works cooperatively with special education administers, school psychologists, social workers and special education teachers in developing FBA procedures and paperwork.
Assists with maintaining student data and prepare pertinent reports requested by key staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
