Wellness Center Job Purpose:
To provide recreation members and staff with a primary contact for all matters concerning the Wellness Center.
Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited four year college or university with a B.
A.
(B.
S.
) Degree in recreation, health, physical education, sports management or related field; experience managing a recreation center; thorough knowledge of aquatics, games and indoor and outdoor athletics including related rules and regulations; strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills; knowledge of health and safety regulations governing recreational facilities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities Respond to customer, public, or media requests for information about Wellness Center programs or services.
Conduct needs assessments and surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, wellness center fitness programs, events, or services.
Prepare or implement budgets and strategic, operational, purchasing, or maintenance plans.
Oversee Wellness Center daily facilities to ensure safe and clean equipment for members.
Track attendance, participation, or performance data related to wellness center events Maintain Wellness Center related schedules, records, or reports.
Supervise Wellness Center staff.
Conduct or facilitate training sessions or seminars for Wellness Center staff.
Maintain or arrange for maintenance of Wellness Center fitness equipment or facilities.
Develop marketing campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in Wellness Center programs and events.
Recommend new program or service offerings to promote wellness and fitness, produce revenues, or minimize costs.
Active membership in state and national recreation and/or wellness organizations.
